I totally agree everbody. ICICI bank all time sucks. I have account with them for 5 yrs. and everytime I do transfer money to India (FYI I do Wire Trasnfer On Monday morning US CST only should be credited in 1 business day, expected that the money will be credited by Tuesday IST ICICI Business time). What happens eveytime they will credit after 5 business days and provided with lowest Exchange rate. I had big fight with poor customer service people.
One time funny thing happend. I did wire transfer money from my local back to New york bank (ICICI) . My local bank confirmed in an hour that the money got credited in NY bank. I thought money was credited to my local ICICI bank back India in 1 day. Now fun started I was counting the days 1,2,3,4,5, etc... nothing happend. God know what happend to money. I called CSR... I explained her "money transferred to NY bank a week ago." still not credited to ICICI bank. She was telling me that, I should transfer money again then they will deposit the money. I was totally pissed off for their answer. I said, her money already debited from my local bank and money is sittling in NY Bank(account of ICICI). After 1 1/2 hr on the phone she repeatedly tells me that deposit the money again... I hang up the phone, and wrote a big letter to ICICI Mumbai. Then then deposited me the money. Finally claiming that the money was not showing in NY bank that is the reason they were unable to credit in ICICI NRI Bank.

Why can't we simultaneously have webfaxes + letters + phone calls + sit-ins + flower mailing + writing to newspapers etc. etc.?
The reason is that whatever the "action item" - it's more or less the same 500people who come forward.
Having said that - there is no stopping members to lead and motivate other members to join in an aciton item that they can "sell" to those other members.

Nothing was mentioned about H4's ability to work before because it has never been asked before as an agenda item for Immigration Voice. Yes, the inability of H4 visa holders to legally work has been discussed several times on this forum but no one has asked for it to become an agenda item or a goal for this organization before. Today it happened, and so I clarified that H4 related issues, the issues that affect only H4 are not a part of this organization. There are many agenda items that improve the situation of H4 spouses. Indirectly thru most of Immigration Voice goals, H4 spouses get benefit. And that is plenty of reason for H4 spouses to support Immigration Voice.
However, none of IV's goals have an item dedicated to H4 that benefit H4 only.
Goals of Immigration voice are listed on the homepage. Under item called "Immigration Voice Goals".
Ability to file for final stage of the Green Card even without visa number availability – this will provide tremendous relief during the long wait since it will allow applicants to transfer to jobs with an identical job description, travel freely, and allow their spouses to contribute to the economy.

We had one volunteer on H4 who worked very hard last year in DC but she was unavailable now this year for several weeks and is still not available these days and may not be available anytime soon.

If she can't make it here in July, can I file under CP for her. Would she then get her EAD at the same time as me. I have been trying to get in touch with my lawyer but he's not there, and I want to make sure I add her in before the dates get retrogressed again.

This bill is in House judicial committee for markup only. This bill is not tabled on house floor yet. Even after markup and voting, this bill still needs to be tabled on house floor. If it gets approved there, similar measure S3414 will be brought to Senate floor for voting.

In ac21 law; it doesn't say anything about the scenario if 140 is revoked by employer. It is totally silent to it.
AFAIK:
AC21 is not a law, just a guidance. Assume an immigration case goes to court hearing, the judge would completely ignore AC21 guidelines. Any employment per AC21 will be considered unlawful in this case. The probability of a case going to court is not very common though.
The above is just FYI.. You can google for more info.

AC21 can very well be challenged in court. The reason AC21 cases do not go to courts is because they are resolved through MTRs.
The issue with all this is that we are not raising our voices loud enough about this training issue or procedural issue ant it is always the individual who deals with the case at individual level by filing MTR.
The entire beurocracy and red tape that one has to deal with in such instances is an issue. People have to file MTR - pay legal fee, involve lawmakers if they don't get response soon, write to Ombudsman .....
So lets stop all "speculation", "fear mongering", "own intrerpretations" and work towards helping ourselves

often i'm amazed by the knowledge of some of the posters here...... but more often i get a laugh out of stupid ideas that r thrown around...... for example u want something big.... want to send transcript..... blacking out the name...... if there is no name on the transcript..... how will anyone know if its genuine...... so u r still afraid of someone knowing u'r name... but u want to do something big....... that makes real sense...... if u know what i mean..... then u want someone else to do a rally....... r u going to come to the rally?..... how will u hide u'r personal information when u come for the rally....... maybe time to take out the Halloween nixon mask.... to protect the personal information/identity..... and for the hunger strike.... lets have someone with a nixon mask do hunger strike...... we could just say that its not me who is doing the hunger strike.... its president nixon doing hunger strike on my behalf....... great idea...... by far the best one ;)

High time this bill is passed. Too much fraud in L1s and H1s.Existing H1s dont have jobs and our green cards pending and no hope when it will come. They should really make L1 very very hard because I work in a huge wireless company where they get L1s from companies like TCS and they work 15 hours a day with $25 billing rate, because of which all contractors and permenant workes (on H1, GC, EAD etc) are being laid off

I hope you are not joking here, did you try to port your EB-3 date to some old PD or change from EB-3 to EB-2?
I am surprised how come PD is not current and USCIS denies I-131 based on the grounds that I-485 approved.
Something is definitely wrong here, unless its USCIS system glitch which considers the preadjudicated (pre-approved) cases as approved and then deby subsequent benefits associated with AoS (I-485) pending application.
Very interesting news for the IV community. Keep us posted on the new developments.
