I din;t mean to be so funny as you have realzied from my response.
My comment was just on the other post.
Having said that let me also say that....everyone one is tensed in some way or the other just realted with immigration. That does not mean we should stop laughing. of course i don't mean to say this at others cost here..!!!!
As of your situation....based on what i know....you might be issued RFE..jsut be prepared for a right reason..if you have any.

I was at the meeting / Rally today. There was a decent turn out for the Legal Immigration reformsupporters. The one thing that stuck out when I walked out after the meeting was "NUMBERS MATTER" and this is the first time I saw it first hand. The Supporters of refrom for Undocumented workers were present in VAST numbers when compared to the supporters of Legal Immigration reforms. The other thing I noticed is that Rep. Gutierrez seems to be a grassroots level person who connects with the issues faced by the common man dues to the obsolete immigraiton policies.
However we have some thing from our end to do and that is to:
- Call the lawmakers and ask them to support the STRIVE act
- Keep reminding the lawmakers that our issues need to be addressed
- Make sure our issues get as much attention and coverage as possible
- Make our presence felt
- contribute, so that even though we may not have the numbers, we can make a difference with the $$
- Keep at it.
So my comments to all those who were there today and felt that it was not very productive, Please do not get disheartened, it did make a difference, the congressman saw and noticed that the people backlogged in the Legal Immigration channel are also willing to come out and get their word out. It also showed that we all in the IV community are connected enough to generate a showing agaisnt such small notice, we need to keep doing this, but in much bigger numbers and keep active and get out message out.

Why does the attorney have to be very competent if its a simple AC 21 case? I know people have applied for AC21 on their own. Will an attorney do something different? He will also send the same set of dcouments that I will? Pleaes help me here. I am not sure whether I should spend thousands of dollars on an attorney for something I could have done myself.
At least consult couple of lawyers- consultation fees wont be that bad

Do you all ever wonder why 1996 to 2000 was great and the economy never went to quite the 2000 levels? It is because of useless wars and getting the job shipped to other countries. That is the republican agenda. If you think you will have a better chance of green card under Republican rule, you are sadly mistaken. The economy will continue to go down, while there will be another Iran war to turn the attention from problems with economy. We need someone who can think clear and be steady. It doesn't matter if the republicans have pro immigration stance or not. The economy is going to dictate if companies are going to keep us employed here. You need to see the bigger picture..

Look where has the capitalism and free market has taken us today, nobody has a clue as to how to fix this mess, all this bail out solutions are just temporary and is pulling us further into debt trap. If there is a recession or a dollar collapse, your GC will not ensure your job.

Without regulation, it is like letting a wild bull run in a china shop, it will knock everything in its way. Republicans policy is to take all the broken pieces of the china ware, put some adhesive on them and put them back on shelf, they do not want to reign in the wild bull unlike democrats.

Just transited through hong kong on Cathay Pacific. No transit visa required -Whats more they even gave me a 2 weeks visitor visa to take a tour of HK - my layover time was more than 6 hours.

legally speakn, there is a commonly term used "bad faith".. this is where DOS/USCIS falls in right now. Read the document, the y did not break any law, what they did was in "Bad Faith" ,. Cant make it clearer than this...

This "bad faith" was illegal and it caused harm & damages.

Did anybody notice that FB I-485 processed numbers are same for every month. How USCIS can allocate same numbers to FB every month and not to EB. Wouldn't it be easy if they allocate annual quota of EB visas per month and any leftover from every month can be allocated to retrogressed countries in the same month.

The real face of America, as we used to see it in India is in full light. Hypocrisy under the name of protecting country's job. I agree with Ash's post that in its substance that unlike holocaust, we are not being killed, however; we are being thrown out just like ethnic Indians were thrown out of Uganda by its dictator. This is not much different.
I understand some people making an argument that this is demand vs supply. But what logic does it make to go aggressively after those who have spent 5-10 years in this country and followed almost everything legally? and at the same time those who are voters , provide them benefits with our tax paid money.
Problem is not them , problem is us. We left our country sick of reservation etc., So our community was sidelined by the politicians in India and we came here foregoing our "voting rights". Hence politicians here dont care about us. We gave up where we belonged to looking for "shortcut" to success only to be deceived by opportunist Americans dangling carrots of green cards and better life.
They are career politicians and they care only about elections and votes. So this is nothing but vote bank politics.
