YOu can surrender your GC letting know the USCICS that, it got approved when the PD was not current. I had read this on murthy.com. Browse the website to learn more about it or contact murthy.com attorney's.
How am I so sure...?? Even I am one amoung them praying for 485 not getting approved untill I get married. My PD is 2006, so I guess I don't have to worry too much.

OPT is just a bandaid that allows politicians to postpone addressing the real issues for a little while. If the real probably are not addressed in 2 years when the OPTs run out it will actually be worse.
Of course anyone using OPT is just joining an even longer GC queue.

Definite. My journey was worth it, even considering all the diffiulties. In India, I had a flourshing practice and when I was planning to go to US, my friends will call be a "fool".
However, looking back, I think I made a wise decision. I have a very good academic job, for which I am proud of. My wife has a very respectable job, which she could not have done there. My kids are much more independent and mature and have more opportunities in terms of education, jobs, travel etc. My health is far better here (I was allergic to dust and had athma). I have more time to enjoy sports and travel. Most of my immediate family is in US.
In nutshell, YES, I did the right thing.

Are you sure about this? That sucks! I always thought you were eligible for SS after you accrue 40 points....basically you get 4 points for every year of work. If you look at your SS report that's sent out before your b'day you will see the points you have accrued.
I thought 40 points was the only requisite; wasn't aware that you had to be a US citizen. Can you please verify this information?

Dont mean to flame you, but you say that you are not a crab and the next moment you bring up religion, faith, Indian etc and associate that to IV's
goal.
Whats wrong in that are they not the guiding principles of living life. when we all get angry about not getting the GC, this same faith and values keep us sane. I associate these with IV so that God can give them strength to succed. we will give our donations to support that.

It doesn't clearly state how much time after the adjudication, you should not be looking.
Of course, the lawyers seem to be on the cautious side. Read the last sentence under intent in the following site (AC21: Changing employer while waiting for pending adjustment of status (http://www..com/greencard/adjustmentofstatus/changing-employer.html) ). It says that ...theoretically, USCIS might be able to revisit the adjudication of I-485 and initiate revocation processing.
This inference is without any attribution.
Then again, I couldn't find a single case where the I-485 was revoked because of suspected fraud in "Intent". We do need clarification from USCIS on this.

You need to submit a new education evaluation.
I had also received an RFE.
An acceptable evaluation must:
1) consider formal eduction only
2) state if collegiate eduction is post-secondary education (i.e did appicant complete the US equivalant high school before entering college)
3) provide detailed explanation of material provided
For EB2 degree.. even if your labor states only Masters degree is required you need to prove that minimum education required for master's degree is Bachelors degree and a minimum requirement for Bachelors degree is your 10 + 2 high school education. Please contact thedegreepeople.com (sheila), they helped me in getting my I-140 approved.
